To the north of the city lies Mount Fernie, Mount Klauer, Three Sisters and Mount Proctor. To the northeast is Mount Hosmer, to the is east Fernie Ridge, to the southeast is Castle Mountain and to the southwest are the various peaks of the Lizard Range. Fernie gives the name to the Jurassic age Fernie Formation. The Lizard Range is home to Fernie Alpine Resort, one of the largest ski resorts in Canada, and Island Lake Lodge, a resort.

Summer in Fernie is generally far quieter than the winter months, though mountain biking, fly fishing and golf are increasingly important tourist

Bear Paw Lodge Condo Unit B103 is a self contained accommodation, in a private location, meters from the Elk Quad Chair on Fernie Mountain. Built in late 2001, this unit has a spacious floor plan and ski-in access. No daily housekeeping. Included is a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, in-floor heating, gas fireplace and private hot tub.

The condo offers a spectacular and convenient ski-in location, with beautiful views of the Lizard Ridge and the rest of the Fernie Alpine Resort. There are plenty of winter activities including alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding. During the rest of the year take advantage of the onsite amenities including tennis courts, hiking trails and mountain biking paths. Or enjoy all that nature has to offer including kayaking or fishing on the Elk River.

Located within ten minutes of the condo are the beautiful Fernie Golf & Country Club and the newly constructed Fernie Aquatic Centre where you can take the whole family for a day of fun.
